About Kaitlin

Want to hear my story?

Although I want to hear your story, I find it important to be transparent and offer a little about myself. I ask my clients to be vulnerable and transparent with me. It's only fair to show the same.

My Story

Authenticity, transparency and connection

I grew up in Southern Maryland in a small town. I always knew the world had so much more to offer but I would have to set out to find myself.

I started my own therapy journey when I moved to Oklahoma and it gave me the strength I needed to stand tall. It gave me insight and awareness I didn't have before. It made me dream bigger and want to help others in the same way.

About Me

I've helped hundreds of clients around the city.

My greatest reward as a therapist is helping my clients explore ways to make the changes in their lives that will allow them to look forward to the future. I believe that we all need someone to talk with who will really listen and accept us as we are, without judgment. We all need someone to give us that extra push to explore new perspectives.

I provide my clients with that warm, nonjudgmental environment—a safe place to explore the issues being faced.

I hold a Masters in Counseling Psychology from The University of Central Oklahoma.

During my graduate studies I worked as a Case Manager for City Care's Pershing Center providing the homeless population with substance abuse support, life skills and housing.

Since graduate school, I have completed over 3000 supervised hours serving justice involved mothers in the ReMerge program as a therapist and clinical director. I worked with clients through IOP (intensive outpatient program) who struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD by providing individual and group counseling along with providing support to client family members via family sessions.

my Values

My work is heavily shaped by my core values

Kindness

As the Queen Brene Brown says Clear is Kind, Unclear is Unkind. Feeding people half-truths or bullshit to make them feel better (which is almost always about making ourselves feel more comfortable) is unkind. When we have to show up for a hard conversation!

Authenticity

Authenticity begins and ends with having an understanding of who you are, how you want to be perceived, as well as what you aspire to be (understanding what is the best you want to be allows you to manifest your ideal authentic behaviors).

Inclusive

A culture that accepts, supports, and values diverse viewpoints and diverse individuals and ensures all are treated equally.

Connection

A meaningful connection is a two-way street. Both parties are getting something from the relationship. The meaning is key. The ability to share vulnerability, common interests, values, and interests are examples of meaning.

My Experience and formation

The formation that helped me become what I’m today
